Hello.

Last night there was one hell of a commotion at Ft Sam Houston.
I decided not to head to the normal abode, but stay at a friends house.
Early in the wee hours, there was a shootout at the Stacy's sports bar located at 1033 Rittiman Rd in San Antonio.
2 people were killed and several others were injured, so I would expect a good police response, but what I saw was perhaps the entire area police.
At least 22 police cars that were marked, fire trucks, rescue squads, as well as at least 4 ambulances.
Later, more police cars, than more police cars.
What had happened was that somebody had stated that a suspect had jumped the fence and had entered Ft Sam Houston.
No problem, just call the MP detachement and let them have at it, right?
One police officer had jumped the fence and saw somebody, and ordered him to stop.
The MP in the area who was dispatched came to see what was happening.
Another officer jumped the fence and ordered the MP to the ground, he complied.
Another MP called this action in and requested backup.
A few minutes later a command car as well as several blackhawk helicopters responded.
A few minutes after that over a dozen federal police types showed up at Rittiman Rd.
The officer who had drawn a weapon on the MP was taken into custody by the local police, at gunpoint.
He kept saying something about Texas peace officer.
Never before have I seen such a response.
At one point the FD and medics were running, and I mean a true run, away from the scene, all while people were bleeding on the ground.
The local police were very upset at the people at Ft Sam Houston, screaming to "get back inside", right up until the troops arrived.
This was the worst display I have ever seen.
All over a pair of gung-ho cops who need to go to the pen for a few years.
What is happening?
Are things really that bad to where we have cops pointing guns at cops? and the MP is a Military Police officer.
If so, we are in real trouble.
I am aware of the policy that says to disarm a guard or citizen, for the protection of the officers.
Perhaps the training was improper?
And, I waited several hours, to gather all the facts, prior to posting, this is what happened.

Edited to provide link.
From all the evidence so far it looks like 2 semiautomatic weapens were used, not machineguns.
The officer that was detained may not be a regular police officer, no updates at this time.
San Antonio police are saying nothing, and the military will not release the video of the incident, even to the police, citing protocol.

Hello.

That is the trouble, the authorities acted like this.
The other concern, 2 guys with semiautomatic weapons.
It is a known fact that the "black Muslims" have been supplied with over 50 semiautomatic rifles, a gift from the drug lords that are bringing the Laredo drug battles to San Antonio.
What still makes no sense is that this was very much one sided, 2 guys get thrown out of a bar that was closing for the night anyway.

Kind of what I was thinking, nothing like a hot steamy pile of troll dung.

Hello.

Just a little more to add to the dung.

For some reason, there is little in the way of coverage on this story.
So, somebody pulls out an "Uzi-type" firearm, shoots somebody, and, except for some 3rd rate newspaper, there is nothing?

Happens regularily in most big cities. Old news.
