You should get a QSL card for your contact soon, from the Net Control operator if I remember correctly.

The Marconi Net is a great ragchew oriented net. Lot's of highly skilled talkers (Hi). Unfortunately it gets interfered with frequently by a bunch of bozo's.
They also have a mailing list and If I remember correctly they work 160m at least one night a week.

Those QRMers are an insult to Bozo.

I know that this net is a bit too high classed for some of you, but, give it a listen, you may learn something and maybe some manners too!!!

Gentleman that was the NCS treated me well when I first checked in awhile ago.

We had some good discussions.

Not a bad net at all!

Wish there were more neat nets like that around. Talked radio, it was civil, then closed the net.

I like the Marconi net. It blows my mind that people intentionally QRM it. What makes people think this is fun? Its exactly like a 3 year old child tugging on mommy's arm yelling for attention. They will scream, cry and carry on for attention... any attention.

If I had one complaint about the Marconi net, it would be that too much time is spent talking about what a nice and pleasant net it is. Its not a major point and I do think its important to remind people of why they are there, but it seems a bit much from time to time. I do like checking in there. Its always respectful and often informitive. Its one of the few that I don't get bored with in the first 30 seconds of listening.

Witness 14.275 and 14.313 for your answer.

Yes, some WILL do anything for attention - whether it's detrimental to the ARS or not.
