They are always complaining that #the 'liberal' media never reports anything positive from Iraq. We get 'you won't see this in the liberal media!' Well tonight NBC ran a story about how tribal leaders in one area of Bagdad have turned against the Taliban(sorry should be Al Qaeda). And how the Americans are living among the natives and that bombing and other violence is significantly decreased. #
On that note perhaps we can be 'liberal' media whine free for at least 5 minutes. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It took them long enough to get their head out. Strange NBC ran this story, it is out of character for them.

Good news from Iraq? Was the newscast sponsored by Halliburton? Did you belive the reports? Surely you didn't.

No, but Al Qaeda is. That's what I think RTI meant unless that is what NBC reported.
<s>Fox</s> "Faux" News reported this early this morning. NBC is playing "catch up."

If it's out of character for you to listen or watch NBC, how would you know? This is not the first time they've run 'good' news on Iraq. Stop watching Fox and maybe you'd get the real news instead of what you want to hear.

Right you are- it was Al Qaeda- sorry- mixed up my terrorist groups. Guilty typing without good proofreading. But then it is sometimes hard to tell them apart without a program!!!!http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Hmmm let me get this straight 8rti sez that NBC ran a positive story about the situation in Iraq.
Now it would seem to me that 8rti wouldn't have to post his comments if it were a common event. I would have to conclude then that in essence, 8rti is admitting that the "liberal media" (his words) as a rule do not report positive events from Iraq.
Just a thought.

What's wrong with you people. We won this war twice already. Old news. Let's get to the important business at hand. Like busting what's left of the unions, and #destroying social security.

Rare event-perhaps. But the neocon whine is "you'll never see or hear this on the liberal media" #3XR is, I think, #most noted for that comment posted with his links to the right leaning media. #The point is that 'never' isn't the case.

You are right.. Busted!
A blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while...
But still, good news from Iraq? Why now is NBC reporting this? Has there been absoloutly no good news since 2002?
Halliburton is behind this.
