Looks like an empty case to me. May be useful as a locker.

Many broadcast transmitters aren't jam-packed inside the cabinet... from the photos on the auction it's hard to say it's complete; obviously the transformers have been removed (as stated) from one of the photos...

Wouldn't mind having that as my "California Kilowatt" on 160 meters.
I'm sure the power company would like to know why I'm installing three-phase 208.
Betcha some CBer will buy it.

Just measured the shack. Looks like it will fit. probably will need 3 phase power though. Qrz 160!

If they do, and if they can get it on "the freebands" they're much better RF Engineers than I ! ! !
About the only thing that would be good inside that cabinet for those high a frequencies would be the tubes, and that is doubtful !
Mid Broadcast Band is a LOOOONNNNGGG way away from 28 Mhz !

Seriously what on earth would you do with a 10KW broadcast transmitter?
The thing weights a ton, takes up an entire room, and requires a lot of expensive juice to operate it. I'm thinking a good old Johnson Viking and a well built linear amp (much smaller) would do just fine for AM.

I'd enjoy a Gates myself. Then and only then would I get on HF phone.

Can you imagine the look on the XYL's face if I showed up with that? Having been married for 34 years, I know better.
