Good for you guys. Unfortunately no 70MHz band in the USA... yet.

Doubtful if there ever will be, but after analog TV gets shut off, we'll see.

Actually, there are a lot of really tasty recipes that use "Italian Ham"!

What are the 4M frequincies? We don't have that band here in the USA but could possibly get that band after 2/18/2009, the day Analog TV dies and HDTV fully take over.

Hmm.. Well channel 4 ends at 72MHz and channel 5 starts at 76MHz. That's 4 MHz of band that is used for wireless PA systems and R/C channels. A ham band there should be possible.

I believe the UK 4m band is 70.0-70.5 MHz on a secondary basis. I believe they have no TV channels on VHF Lo band anymore. I may be wrong however.I was once before so they say. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

It is unlikely that the US will get a 4 meter allocation, but I do hope that after the DTV transition is complete we get an allocation on 40 centimeters (750 MHz). This band supposedly penitrates buildings very well.
