Any body had experience of the ICOM 737A transceiver. I got one second hand and am experiencing problems with good contacts on ssb. Is this rig prone to any transmitter faults? Anybody help?

You might want to be more specific about what problems you seem to be having. Are you getting bad reports from people? Audio? Intermittent transmit? I am sure there is a Yahoo user group for that radio. It would be good to subscribe to it and be in contact with hundreds of owners of that radio. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I've had a Icom 737A for four years.
Worked 252 DXCC entries with it.
The only problem I've noticed is the notch function is mostly useless. I suppose you know that you must use a amplified mic with this and other Icom radios.
