The Academy Awards are presented for "significant" contributions to motion picture art and science.
Eastman Kodak received an Award for technicolor movie film.
Max Factor received an Award for his work in the field of makeup.
For the 2008 Awards, I suggest:
Dow-Corning for their work with silicone.
The Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons or whatever they
call themselves for making something out of nothing.
