Hello.
If you are talking about the transmit mod that does not extend the RX range, other than the legal issues, nothing.
If you are referring to the newer wideband mod that extends both TX and RX from 1.8 to 550 MHz with the 2 gaps at 56 to 108 MHz and 216 to 380 MHz, this is major work on the filters along with a bit of a rewrite of the firmware, not for the faint of heart.
