It's still a catchy n' cool tune. It made the top 100 of the Eighties on VH1 the other week, I believe.

Winder, GA - the town where I grew up - has an 867 prefix. 867-5309 was a real number there at one time, but it didn't stay connected for long.

866-867-5309 is the toll free number for Benjamin Franklin Plumbers, a national franchise. I hear them advertise on the radio.

Tommy Tutone (http://www.tutone.com)? #Check out some of their other songs, particularly from the first two albums. #867-5309/Jenny is good [although seriously over-played both then and now], but IMHO not their best. #Even the B-side of that single - "Not Say Goodbye" - was, again IMHO, a bit better than the A-side.

I bet they would have done better if they had threetones.
Somebody who had that number tried to auction it on ebay, but the phone company put a stop to it. As I recall the bidding went extremely high, but the auction was stopped before it ended. People are crazy!
