You may want to move your posting about Star Wars to a different forum. Just a bunch of old grouchy men here constantly arguing about politics and grown up stuff.

But, if you enjoy being ignored or verbally abused - welcome.

Don't do that. Glen already had to move one thread to Rag Chew. I'm sure he can find better things to do than stay on Star Wars watch constantly moving threads.

Ok, Star wars question for you....
Why did Senator Padme use the cliche "we live in the real world" when explaining to Aniken why they couldn't or shouldn't be having a romantic relationship? Episode II

Someone was floating a rumor yesterday that Lucas is going to do more Star Wars episodes. I always thought that the idea of making billions and billions would appeal to him.

she was explaining to Anikan that if they were to have a relationship, their political and moral background would be compromised. Padme would lose the ability to do her duty, and Anakin would be kicked out of the jedi and would face the sepreme court for treason for it is forbidden for a jedi to have a intimate relationship with another person

That would explain why there were not too many jedi-you would think you would want them to breed to produce more potential jedi.

Stopping the family tree at that point, I could see why some people wouldn't want to be one.

It might also explain some of their "angry" behavior!

My issue was not in her explaination of cosequenses of thier relationship, but rather the cliche she used. Seems a little weird when one is not confined to a single planet to refer to living in a real "world" instead of using the larger reference to a galaxy or universe... World seems a little restrictive and "earth mentality" based....
Your thoughts?

Wonder how he'd do that? The epsiodes are a circle, with the last episode released setting everything for the first.

Chronologically, there is still a gap of 'x' years - I'm not quite enough of a Star Wars geek to know exactly how many - between the end of episode 3 and the start of episode 4. #That gap would basically encompass the rise of the new Empire and the birth of the Rebellion.

At the very least, it's enough time for Luke and Leia to have grown to young adulthood, so it's got to be around a couple of decades or so. #I'm sure there's plenty of room for additional plot development there. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

There's also plenty of material at the end, I vaguely remember that there was supposed to be 9 episodes.

There's been plenty of books written to do a movie, alot of which are better stories then the originals.
