Not getting rid of the code would have prevented this http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

What the heck happended to my link? It worked fine yesterday when I posted it. Oh well.

No it wasnt a hold my beer and watch this moment. It was more of a I cant get my seatbelt off and Im gonna drowd moment. Then I got it off and it turned into a I cant get my door open moment. Thank god for adrenaline because I had to kick the door open. Can you believe I walked away from that with only a few scrapes and cuts?

A little Bondo here and there and it'll be good as new.

Glad you were able to walk away from that mishap!

Wasn't there a sign warning you that a bridge could suddenly jump out in front of you?

Glad you are OK, bummer about the radio and the cell phone. #And the truck. #That whole ordeal had to have been really terrible.

If you mind my asking, how did you hit a bridge?

"This is KC9HAS, marine mo-b-b-b-ble."

This got me to thinking: maybe I should open a health resort that's totally submerged underwater; I'll call it "Glub Med."

We had a car vs utility pole a couple days ago. Live power lines down.

I'm not sure what was more distressing to the driver of the car though, as A) it still had temporary tags, B) He was stuck inside waiting for the electric utility to come de-energize the lines, C) All the police and fire types standing there looking at him, or D), that he's my kid (KC9ECH) and he knew how annoyed I was standing there in the rain.

Speed, alcohol or both?

KC9ECI
06-06-2007, 01:52 AM
It's a write off. Speed. No alcohol. No ticket. Claims he hydroplaned. I'm thinking it was more of a case of telling his passenger to hold the wheel while he applied squirt cheese to a Ritz cracker or some such nonsense. I'm sure it will be a few years before he tells me what really happened. Meanwhile, he's getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine on his bicycle.

Was he operating his radio when he drove off the bridge?

kc9has
06-06-2007, 03:28 AM
No I wasnt operating the radio. #But I do wish it would have been intact and working because it was 4am and I needed help. #I had to walk a quarter mile down the road while I was bleeding all over the place. #Thank god there was a house close by because I dont think anyone was hearing my screams for help on my little walk. #No there wasnt any alcohol involved. #There was a little curve in the road right by the bridge. I remember hitting my brakes lightly to slow down for the curve and then the impact. #Then water, lots and lots of water. #My truck was half under water almost upside down when all was said and done. #I thought it was completely submerged. #Thats why I was wiggin out so bad when I couldnt get my seatbelt off.
