Well, at least the lady sticks to her guns.
I see in the funny papers this morning that the current opinion of the brass in Baghdad is that "the surge" is not having the kind of impact they expected. They blame it on the Iraqis who are NOT standing up to take over the effort.
So, maybe she's completely right.

Yes, I agree. And our government has lost even more respect.
Her words fall on the ears of politicians whose hearts have grown cold from their unholy alliance with corporate interests. It's an alliance guaranteed to continue due to the two party political crime syndicate that is our government.

Frankly I am not sure that Cindy Sheehan wrote those words herself, although I am fairly sure that she participated in the composition, and did not release them until she approved of them. #And I agree with her.
The horror of this is... what can be done?
The real powers, no doubt financial entities who can reward these politicians with cushy jobs if they do as they are told, are an enormous force to be reckoned with.
Make no mistake about the power that opposes us. #I can't support one single politician; I can't give him or her any cushy job at all. #All of us put together on this board might support one, very painfully. #But this power can support them all! #That's scary. #And before you neo-cons start to cheer in some celebration of your success, remember that you can't fight this force either, and remember that it really has little use for you. This is the same force that is flooding the USA with cheap illegal labor because they don't want to pay YOU. And it is the same power that is running up the national debt that will cripple your children and grandchildren, etc.

Good for her. Leave the 2 faced phony frauds in the dust. If we are going to have a real anti war movement it has to be a real grassroots peoples effort, not a political posturing campaign for democratic fakes.

Your inane and insipid remarks that you post on here leaves me to believe that you are hardly the person to judge anyone else's intelligence.
That the reason I call you and your ilk Lib-Bots - you can't think for yourself, you just allow your handlers to crack open your skull and refill it with mush.

The last phrase in your last paragraph is an independent phrase. Rather than using a comma, you should use a period and capitalize the following Y, or use a conjunction such as "and".
Thank you for saying "refill". It denotes that they did, at least for me, have something to remove before filling it with mush.
Maybe everyone will wake up and see that all politicians are the same no matter what party tag they wear.
Time to clean house and re-elect none of them. A fresh start of the leadership of this country would be a good thing.
All those poor lobbyists would have to start all over again.

But realize. It in no way makews her a pro-Bush, pro-War supported. But rather someone who is aware of the phony democrat politicians. She see'sthe needs for a real grassroots anti war movement. not one perpetrated by democraps for partisan gains.

There is also a spurious "That" and "crack" in that run-on sentence. Instead of...
Quote[/b] ]That the reason I call you and your ilk Lib-Bots - you can't think for yourself, you just allow your handlers to crack open your skull and refill it with mush.
That should probably read...
The reason I call you and your ilk "Lib-Bots" is that you can't think for yourselves. You just allow your handlers to open your skull and refill it with mush.
Of course, "Jane you ignorant sl*t," should've probably prefaced all that AM talk radio talking point. Or maybe that's a form of pedantic behavior from the O'Reilly school of punditry. As advertised in the Paris Business Review of course.

Somehow I don't see the comparison of unparalleled peace and prosperity from 1993 to 2001 to the unparalleled death and destruction and a floundering economy from 2001 to the present (since 1950).
It does not appear to be a blur to me. It is rather black and white.
But O'Reilly has got a new attitude all of a sudden:
Quote[/b] ]During the June 5 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, host Bill O'Reilly said of anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan: "I don't like to see any American suffer the way I think Ms. Sheehan has suffered from losing her son to being personally attacked. And we wish her well." However, in sympathizing with Sheehan's "suffer[ing]," O'Reilly ignored his own history of smearing Sheehan

I think she finally learned that you just can't trust your lawmakers to do what you want unless you have lots of people behind you.
I feel sorry for her loss. I too am a vet.
But her son was an adult and chose to serve in a time of war. That involves risk and many have to find out the hard way that war is not all glory. It's been that way for centuries.
Many that enlist today in our all volunteer forces do not know what they are getting themselves into.
And as far as politicians go, it seems that during my lifetime they have less concern for what the people think
about what they are doing.
And why not? They aren't held accountable for much now.

One question -
Why did it take you so long to make the decision.
As I've said before and will say again, same old worthless
characters different day.
I say replace them all and regulate the MORONS with
Congressional term limits,
Now that is a refreshing idea.....Mac

UEY's like the little dog that always hung out with the big bulldog in the Looney Tunes cartoons. Spike the Bulldog and Chester the Terrier.
"What do we do know Spike, huh boy? Let's get 'em boy! Let's rip 'em to shreds pal!"
