About a year and a half ago, a new ham, Jim KB1MVX, turned to QRZ's Questions & Answers forum for help with an alternator whine problem. He received plenty of helpful advice from the regulars here.

With this info and more help from his local friends and Elmers, Jim developed an effective solution. He wrote ian article with accompanying photos and placed them on a web page. He shared this info and the URL with us here on QRZ on THIS THREAD (http://www.qrz.com/ib-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=5;t=112157).
Many of the posters here at QRZ encouraged Jim to submit his article to QST. Those of us who have read through our new June issue now know that he did! There it is in the "Hints & Kinks" section (pgs. 62-64).
We have many distinguished regulars at QRZ who have been published in multiple publications as well as online sharing their extensive knowledge and experience. Jim, a reletively new ham distinguished himself by taking the advice he recieved and moving ahead with it to devise a unique solution. Then, he took that extra step in sharing what he had learned with the rest of us. Jim is just the kind of new ham we need in this hobby/service.
I think it'd be a great gesture if each of us active on the "Zed" join in congratulating Jim by sending him a QSL card with a note of congratulations.
