Probably no more legal in Scotland than here in the US.

Nope, can't be done.
I have te FT 100 but transmitting will not be able due trough the bandpassfiltering.
The FT 847 i have can be made working up to 10 watts.
If we get the band in Holland ( if....) i'll make an transverter.
Leave the radio's original, so they kep working to spec's.

Cor - dank u vel!
(Learned that in late 2000 when I was in Amsterdam for two days going to/returning from Bahrain).
That, and Gouda, constitute most of my knowledge of Dutch.

You forgot the tulips and windmills http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
At least you picked up some Dutch.
Most Durchies speak 2 or more foreighn languages, so it is easy to come over here, English is spoken by most younger peeps.
cheers, have an good time,

I was there in December -- there weren't many tulips http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif .
So I suppose when I put my "two lips" against a glass of Amstel, I was remembering the flowers...or something... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Amstel! Another Dutch word. And Grolsch. And Heineken...I'm becoming fluent!
