I am thinking about getting some computer logging software, but looking around it is a multitude of different programs, all look very good but what is the best easiest to use or whatever? I want to be able to log the stations and be able to print qsl labels off the program amongst the other key features, I do a bit of contesting and at the moment use SD which is great however is there a logging prog. that caters for that as well. 73 Max

There have been many threads about exactly this topic:

I am sure the answers given in these threads will be helpful.

I highly suggest Ham Radio Deluxe.
Great software, also has Radio control, DX cluster, satellite tracking, PSK, SW guide, and of course, a logging program.

For Linux, XLog is the best choice.

For Mac, you can use jLog which is written in Java and works on all platforms that run java. It's free of cost. http://jlog.org/

That's a matter of taste. I like it and used it, but unfortunately it gets terribly slow for large logs (like 60k+ QSOs in my log), so I wrote my own.

http://radio.linux.org.au/ has a list of Linux logging software.

Check out ACLog. If you buy the whole package you get all his contesting software tailored for each different contest as well as a general logging program. It also has built in DX cluster as well as had upload ability for LoTW and EQSL. Also you can download the raw FCC Database and use it as well as the canadian one. Very easy to use program and you can move things around and customize it anyway you see fit. He also updates it regularly and you never have to pay for a new update.
