I just had a call that TI4HWF - "H" was a silent key. #I have not found it reported yet.
My first SSB contact was with "H" in July 3, 1978. #I was a new General and he took the fright out of the microphone for me. #He was my first SSB contact. #Two hours later, I realized, I DO like the Mike!
Over the years we have kept in touch as he moved back and forth from Costa Rica, where Julliet was from, to Baton Rouge, which I call home.
He had a natural gift of gab, and it was always a pleasure to run into him. #He will be sorely missed by many, I am sure.
What a wonderful world of Ham Radio, we have. #As we all grow old, it is a way to keep in touch with the world. #My heart is sad about "H", but I know he is up there helping get my station in the sky ready.
