Maybe his kid is a rude little pig and it is about time someone told her. It sure is easy to judge when you don't hear both sides of the story. I don't believe children are innocent either, I sure as hell wasn't.

Context. It all means nothing without knowing the context.

Yeah, I am sure an 11 year old kid can make responsible decisions for herself and deserves that treatment (haw!)

I think that what Alec said to his 11 yr old daughter would be considered hate speach if he had spoken it to his house keeper or gardener.

Yeah, kids are perfect and innocent. I'm sure she's an absolute angel incapable of even the slightest wrong.

Yup, on that subject, I wonder if the new Hate Crimes legislation the House is considering would have protected the victims of the VT massacre: rich people? I mean he had a deep rooted hatred of the rich.

That's what good parenting is about, correcting a child when they are not little angels. Plus, every now and then putting the Board of Education on the Seat of Knowledge never hurt anyone.

Yep, spare the "rod" and spoil the child.

The child is 11 years old, for God's sake. #She's being used as a pawn in a power struggle between Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. #That much is obvious.
As I interpret Baldwin's tirade, the child's phone was turned off when Baldwin tried to call. #It's entirely possible, and highly probable, that KimBa either disconnected the phone herself or told the child to do so. #Baldwin obviously didn't consider this before running his mouth into a recording device.
KimBa probably knew that she could goad Baldwin into something like this and was just waiting for this or something like it to happen so she could use it against him.
The hell of it is, Baldwin and Basinger aren't atypical. #They just have better publicity than non-celebrities.
This kind of thing happens all the time. #Ask any judge or divorce attorney.

I've called my kids worse. Sometimes they really know how to push those buttons we all have.

I've read/heard/whatever that about 85% of families are more or less dysfunctional. I think that number is about right.

How do we know he wasn't talking to Kim and not the kid?

IF.
The sky would be green IF it weren't blue.
His wife could be a model IF her eyes matched.
The meteor would've destroyed us all IF it hadn't missed.
IF.

Where was he when he made that call?
I thought he was leaving USA if Bush won the election.
What happened to that?

No other country would let him in.
I could give a big fat hairy rat's butt what any of the Hollywood elite do or say. Why some people's lives revolve around this bovine scat is beyond my reasoning.
