I feel sorry for the poor chap. He's obviously very upset and not happy with life, he said as much to his daughter who is really upset that her Dad is drinking himself into oblivion.

Everybody knows a man does this when he's had enough of life and its miseries. He certainly isn't drinking because he's thirsty !

What he needs is someone to listen to what he believes are his problems and show him some sympathy. The press have always been the same, its normal for them to show people in deep trouble in their newspapers

It doesnt matter abt color age race money or any other excuse,Ive been sober 22 1/2 yrs and I get reminded every so often that the disease is in the corner doing pushups waiting for another bout with me.A common misconception is that a period of sobriety will let some one drink successfully.uhn uh no way no how,The only solution is total abstinence,I just went through a 2 yr battle with throat cancer,and some ask me why since I had the patented excuse "cancer"what some magic wand would allow me to drink because of it?It doesnt matter I cannot drink successfully ,and everyday I go to meetings where people like hasslehoff prove to me it doesnt get better only worse.
