I have the Hustler MO-3 54" mast with 15 and 40 meter resonators. I have ordered a 20 meter but is back ordered. Can I effectively/practically put either a longer whip on the 15 meter or a shorter whip on the 40 meter resonator to get one or the other to tune to 20 meters? (without an antenna tuner)

If so, what would be a good starting point in length?

I have no antenna analyzer so I must rely on any experience y'all might have on this one to hopefully keep from wasting time and whips by trial and error.

I am done. It appears that I am too ignorant to answer a question.

HMMMM, actually.... YES, in fact i CAN tune the 15 meter resonator to 20 meters.

I contacted Hustler/newtronics and they referred me to the proper info and as it turned out, I can use the original whip that came with the 80 meter resonator and lower it to a length of around 37" and it will tune down to 1:1 on band center with less than 1.4:1 on each end of the band. As it turns out, using the 15 Meter resonator increases the efficiency due to the fact that there is less coil or (coiled resistor) used.

I suppose if you don't KNOW what you are talking about, maybe you should avoid giving guesses thereby showing your ignorance (unless, of course, you clarify that you don't know and are guessing) -or- grow some humility and ask a question or two yourself so you DO know.
