View Full Version : Why Obama Has A Good Shot.
Quote[/b] ]One day after Salon's Mark Benjamin revealed the existence of a VA report documenting the complaints of wounded soldiers and their families about conditions at Walter Reed Medical Center in 2004, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., wrote to the president about Salon's article. In his letter, Obama discusses his concern about the pending appointment of Brig. Gen. Michael J. Kussman as undersecretary for health at the Department of Veterans Affairs, because Kussman was chairman of the task force that oversaw the final report. Obama's letter is reproduced in full here.
History will view this as a legacy of ineptness. Why? Maybe this is why.

Hello.
This is but one of hundreds of letters that Obama has written.
Bottom line, Bush deals with about 200 letters from congress a DAY.
But, this is the case with prior presidents.
So, nothing earth shattering.
What is most interesting (not exactly earth-shattering), is that Bush is attempting to place a person who has shown they can't do the job, BACK in a job they can't do.
Pre-planned ineptness. Now if Bush is so smart, and I subscribe to that, you got to ask why?

Hello.
What if the person is doing what they are supposed to do?
What if Gonzo is the willing fall guy?
Now, follow this line of thinking to Dr. Kussman.
Remember, the military is made up of "yes men", people who do as they are told.
Perhaps THAT is what the president is looking for.
Is this is in fact the case, Dr. Kussman, or anyone for that matter, would seem to be inept.

I totally agree. Now the next question is how do you do that in a Democracy? The answer is when nobody stops you. The letter is better than nothing. It shows that, unlike their rubber stamp predecessors, Democrats are watching...

You bet, Obamma is exactly what is needed. He might get even get a cabinet that would please all liberals. Might even make Islam the "offocial religon" of the USA. Yep, Barrack Hussian Obamma would make us all proud to be Americans. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Another ignoramus. Obama is a devout Christian you simpleton.
Although I don't agree with everything Obama stands for, he is visionary, intelligent, and eloquent. He is the only candidate who will explain is ideas clearly without talking in general terms. You know what you're getting with Obama.
His communication style is similar to Kennedy and Reagan. I can't be the only one who feels this way.
If he makes it through the Democratic gauntlet, he get's this Republican's vote for president.

Ok, it seems that religon is the topic? May b to his advantage to be a "devout christian". This guy is the "darling " of the left. Mr. Sharpton and others think he is just wonderful. Yep I think I know what you get with Obama. You get one who raised and educated in moslem schools, you get one that is the darling of the left wing. I suppose you do not think anyone that has a different view has any business even voting? Yes, Barrack Hussian Obamma is exactly what the country needs. We have an old saying in the aviation community: A parrot is the only bird that talks but he dosen't fly well.

I sure didn't nominate him. I didn't nominate anyone, as I don't ally myself to either mainline party.

Obama really has only one endearing characteristic. He is a fountainhead of B vitimins for those who can't live without them.

I'd question your assessment of his education. Anderson 360 did a visit to this school that he attended just a few early years in his life, and it's mostly secular in it's curriculum. It's not a medrasa like schools in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.
And as far as being a "darling of the left"... I think that honor goes to Senator Clinton who raised $26 million dollars, mostly from large contributors and the Hollywierd crowd. Obama raised $25 million, mostly with small donations. He's also miles ahead in the polls in a state like South Carolina; all of this suggesting that he's connecting with the common people, youth, and the OLD DEMOCRATIC PARTY- not the party of late. We haven't seen the OLD DEMS since the late 70's when most fled and became supporters of Reagan. That was the beginning of the neo-con movement in the Republican party.
Even though he is more liberal that others in his field, Obama is simply more genuine than any of his other opponents and you know exactly what you're getting from him.
