The sister (now reportedly under police protection) of the gunman responsible for the deadliest shooting rampage in modern US history works as a contractor for a State Department office that oversees billions of dollars in American aid for Iraq.

Sun Cho's current job is her third stint with the State Department, according to Princeton University, where she graduated with an economics major in 2004.

The family of the man responsible for the massacre left South Korea with little money and big dreams of a better life in the US, the shooter's grandfather told newspapers. He went on to say, "Seung-Hui troubled his parents when he was young because he wouldn't talk, but he was well-behaved. I don't know how I can compensate for the responsibility for raising my kids improperly."

DISCLAIMER: Before certain people respond with the usual knee-jerk reaction, be assured that while this connection might be interesting and we can expect more media attention, especially once the story hits the AM talk show circuit, there is NOTHING to imply that:

*His sister is responsible

*His sister's job is responsible

*The US Government is responsible

*The article was published in order to promote the "liberal" agenda

We should be grateful that the killer was not middle eastern and had no apparent connection to "Islam".

So what is the point?

What if she worked for Wal-Mart? or Burger King?

Some people will try to read more into it than there is. Why is his sister and rest of the family under police protection right now? If everyone thought rationally, why would this be necessary? Why did the Aussie newspaper publish the article in the first place? I bet the talk radio windbags will milk it for all it's worth.

Why police protection? Because there are OTHER nut cases out there who would feel justified in killing the entire family for the sins of the son. After all, in their perverted way of thinking, the entire family must be eliminated or hurt to "pay them back" for the destruction their son and brother caused.
