How tense do things have to be before buddhist monks turn to fisticuffs? #The world has gone mad, I say.

Buddhist monks in medieval Japan (http://www.buddhistchannel.tv/index.php?id=10,3900,0,0,1,0)were fearsome warriors.

Thanks for the link.
It appears that the Japanese version of Buddhism did not really calm down and start to become peaceful until after the year 813 with the arrival of the Shingon or the "True Way".
Very cool stuff. #A new angle to look into is always nice.
So put up your dukes, Buddha wants this sorted out. #

So where is the fighting Monk ??
The only picture I saw was some one apparently a Monk reaching back and restraining some civillian.
Maybe under the PC rule some one who attempts to restrain another is a combatant ,but I have not read that book yet !!
On the other hand maybe we are suppose to be PC ignorant and only read the headlines of the news story then make up the rest of the item out of our own imagination!!
That modus vivendi would be sacrosanct to most QRZ posters,no need to dwell to deep into fact !!
After all this is suppose to be Amateur Radio related ,and that is what Amateur Radio is all about, having FUN and not getting bogged down with facts and technicalities.
Lets ALL go SHOOT some SKIP and have FUN with OUR HOBBY !!

Kinda ironic......but apparently UEY didn't read the "headline" for this forum or he would know it's not required to be amateur related to be posted here.

I was appalled when I saw the picture.
That is the worst punch form and most off balance stance I have ever seen. #Monk boy needs to go back to the dojo and practice his kata. #Starting at Tiger 1.

UEY,
Your sarcasm is noted in the record.
I almost bit. In fact I did...

Kinda ironic that anybody would expect UEY to read.
