Here is in response for my HF net and why....

Thank you again. the only thing sad here in town...there are no official clubs or such...there was one. but he moved..K7HOG...I do belong to some HF nets....my purpose was RAGCHEWING only...and for those who are new hams here in this area...because...no one has extended a welcome for those new at this. I have been there...and I even had a person tell me they had no time for a new person or be an elmer....or that informal club they had..not accepted no newbie's...around here...everyone does their own thing...there are two ham club meetings here in town....

and they are at meeting places to eat....at the times I have been to both. I was the youngest and I was the only new person....I did give it a chance really....but I was turned off...and such...so after my GEN test. I told the new TECHS...contact me if they need help or direction and to help as an elmer...so therefore the net here on Simplex then a HF version...for those who can do it....I thank you for your time...I have been studying the manual...and I do listen and such. I do not jump into things lightly...but seriously....I found out it is ok...to be involved with traffic nets here and there are many her in Oregon...but to have a Ragchewing net is ok too....to make the new people comfortable....and the restaurant route for a informal meeting has not worked to help the needs of a new person...it is intimidating...how else are you going to help...again I have been there...and it is not cool to have someone tell you they have no time....even speaking with a few ops here...it is pure snobbery...I know I will make a great PIO...I take it seriously....and I do have PR/MEDIA experience...I know how the media works here and in detail. I have been on the other end for putting releases on stations when they are sent to me...again I take this position seriously....and do have the time...again I do not jump into things...I have got negative email over this Ragchewing net and some say...how dare you....and basically....the newbie's can help themselves...which is wrong....very wrong. I do have a plan and do things to a t...and such...this is where I come from....and about my background...I have also been a Radio Executive and have started and owned two AM stations in Washington...commercial ones....and building a station from ground up....

Thanks DE KE7GGV..I will keep you posted...

I wouldnt worry about having ragchew nets, there isnt any FCC rules saying you they are not alowed. Here in our area we have a repeater on 2 meter that is used for ragchew, and it starts around 7ish and sometimes goes until 3:00am later some nights. And some of us have a sched for ragchewing on hf and eveyone is welcome.

Dude!

Please use regular punctuation. All those ellipses (...) make reading your message too difficult.

Do you also talk like that?

With... many... pregnant... Pauses?

If so... maybe... thats... why... you find... it difficult... to have... a ragchew?

73 OM Just nitpicking. But the internet is a written medium after all and it helps so much if the message is easy to read without interpretation.
