These guys are very shady. They sell Ham Radio equipment that is not as they describe and do not ship items that are shown in the photos they send to you.
If you buy from them your chances of getting what you think you made a deal for is very slim. They sell from ads in QRZ, Eham, Qth and auction sites such as eb-y and many others. They use a variety of names. Victor88 and now Alarcon Brothers Inc. and probably others. They are based in New York.
They only got me for about $50. I just hate for them to get away with ripping anyone else off. If I can find out if any of them are hams I'll definitely update this message with the info. #

What did you buy? Where did you buy it? How did they cheat you? How do you know others have had bad dealings? Where is their ad? Not much info here, or facts to back up your opinion. Details please.

I agree. Probably best to, as briefly as you can, lay out your story with the transaction, and post it to the appropriate locations on QRZ, EHAM and QTH. QTH has a whole section with a lasting history for scammers. Others will come forth with their stories when they see yours. Include basics like the email addresses they use.
Also, if you can give a location on any of the ham 3 sites (no ebay listings, nobody including ebay cares or will protect you), for their existing ads, we can go check it out. Just give their ad's DATE, callsign or name, ad category, and item by name, then we can do a search & check them out.
This way, if they are disreputable, we can develop a history for others to look at.

I am not going to post the details of my dealings with these guys. Just be aware and ask for many up close photos of the item you are interested in buying. I should have done just like I said. Ask a lot of questions. Get detailed photos. They don't have any current auctions or any sales listings that I can find.
Now I'm just going to tell you that after 9 weeks of unanswered emails they finally reimbursed me the money for the screwed up item. After I filed a dispute with e--y.
If this story is untrue I am sure that I'm going to hear from them or their attorney. #I doubt it.
I was ticked off because I never ran into that kind of situation before.

Dear fellow Hams:
Jims Dealings are a unfortunate reality on many of the sites. a few bad apples. Here is a easy way to avoid the "pits":
Ask for Photo of Equipment. ask that they take a photo of the Serial Number on the rig. I asked for that, got just as described from a really nice Canadian seller.
Overseas sales are most Dangerous. Be especially careful when dealing with the former Soviet Union areas. regrettably, A few freinds have emailed me with questions after a alleged RU station emailed these Hams with the Old "I'll pay you more than you asked, so I can cash a check they can't process in my country, simply take your Money out after it's cashed and send me the rest" You cash his "Check" and get your money, then in about 3 weeks, they are banging on the door aftr you cashed stolen or counterfit checks stolen from another area.
A good site to visit if you're not sure is 419 eaters site. They are the BEST when dealing with Scammers.
