Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if someone can answer a question for me, I was wondering if you can use a Astatic CB-27WX CB antenna on a 2M mobile radio.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hand book shows mods for CB antennas. Likely you have to re-wind any coils,. then adjust length of radiator.

I would think it would take a bit of work and you'd need to know what you were doing.
2-meter mobile antennas can be pretty cheap (try the next hamfest), so why not save your CB stick for 10 meters and just get a basic 2-meter antenna.
This is an on-glass antenna. Why not just buy a 2m on glass antenna?
Anyway, the issue is with the circuitry in the inside box. Even if you trim the whip for 2M, the SWR may never get down where you need because 1/2 the antenna is in the box inside the window.
