Well I just had a QSO with SV9CVY, Michael in Greece on 14.242!!! I got upgraded today and rushed home to try HF. It was awesome!!! It was short, but it was awesome!!! He was working one heck of a pile-up of US stations trying to work him. ...AND HE HEARD ME!!! HAHA Man I'm stoked!!! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif /AG

Hey, congrats on working Crete! I tried but couldn't break the pile-up. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Since I worked New Zealand last night and Hungary and Austria this morning on 20 meters I'm not too disappointed. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Congrats!...Welcome to the HF bands. You'll never have a "first QSO" again. Thats kind of a bummer...but there IS a way. Consider learning the code, and I promise you that the gratification of making those contacts is ten fold as exciting and it never quite goes away.

Well, I DID HAVE a CSCE for element 1, when I first got my license, But I don't think it's any good now. Anyway, I'm gonna start practicing and speeding up. Thanks!!

Nice first HF QSO http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif SV9 is Crete and actually counts as a seperate DXCC entity than Greece. Congrats on the upgrade and have fun!

Congratulations... Mike (SV9CVY) had a big pile up because he has a big signal and good antennas. He is on fairly often on 20m.

Isn't that the most awesome thing.. I posted the same message about two weeks ago when i made my first HF contact. The best part was getting the pats on the back in return.. big ego boost. lol

I need to work Greece.. want to have a friendly little competition on who gets to 20m DXCC first? I do have a head start tho http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Again congrats, maybe I'll work ya down the log a bit..

Hey congrats. If I were ever to want to try HF I would want my first contact to be Scotland.

Congrats & way to go on getting through! You may work DX that is more rare, but you'll remember this first one longer than all the rest. 73

Good for you. Not a bad way to start your true HF career. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Mike's on a lot and on most (if not all) the bands. I've worked him many times on 20m & 40m, including phone, RTTY, and PSK31. Even got him on 75m phone a couple of months ago. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

A 21 Kazoo salute in your direction! Sure beats 2 meters, doesn't it? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
