Icom IC-775DSP antenna tuner not working!

Hi all, I have an Icom IC-775DSP with a problem with the antenna tuner. When I try to run it I can hear the tuner motors trying to turn the air capacitors but they barely move them so the tuner will not tune. It will click and make noise then kick off the tuner. It's not the shaft couplings between the motors and air capacitors, it is something else. Someone said it could be something in the ALC circuit but I am not sure. Any help out there please?
