my husband and I are coming accros to usa, in particular, columbus ohio, can anyone tell us, what we need to do before attempting to operate over there -do we need to get permission to put the ohio call before our own call? and how do we go about this? can't wait to get back to england from over there.....

Hi Jenni,

As far as I am aware, you can start operating straight away when you get to Ohio under the CEPT licensing agreement. You and your husband only need to put W8/ at the beginning of your UK callsigns. So you would be W8/M0HZT (Whiskey Eight stroke Mike Zero Hotel Zulu Tango).

You would also need a copy of your UK licence with you and a copy of the USA regulations.
