need a cable

HI All,
I've got a Kenwood TS 850 S I'd like to connect to a Laptop and conrol with Linux programs using HamLib ... like Grig, XDX, Xlog, GMFSK, FLIdigi, ETC. has anyone accomplished this feat? what sort of cable did you build or buy(where)? I'd like to be able to run the kenwood rig in the same way I run the FT897, if possible.
