View Full Version : Hitler
As he was born in Austria, I don't get it. Anyway it's too little too late. Are the Germans still trying to wash their hands?

Why not? The last remaining "Hitler" surname family members live in New Jersey (go figure) and have vowed to never have children and let the name die out.
The Germans are really going overboard.
Denying the holocaust can land you in jail there.
Here? It's protected speech (and it should be).

Why can't they just change their names?
It's so easy to do.

I used to have a customer by the name of Don Hittler, chief of power train at the old American Motors co. in Detroit. #I often wondered how many times people queried about the name ( he spelled it with two T's)

whats really bad about this was hitler was his adopted name. he never knew what his real name should have been, well technically, he should have taken the name of his grandmother which was shicklegruber (sp) - kind of ruined the name for all Hitlers.

he managed to get into the german military which in turn got him into nsdap, and that got him power in germany. he didnt like how austria was all mixed (being austro-hungary at the time) - he was manipulated by alot of propaganda from vienna.

Hello.
The German government is in violation of laws that were put in place to prevent this from happening.
What the Nazi party would do was to negate German citizenship based totally on "race".
The argument was that this or that was "Not a pure German".
After that, Jewish bake sale, with real Jews.
By doing this the Germans are opening themselves up to the same ideology that Hitler himself used.
The other danger, Hitler and the fatherland.
Germans are flocking to that sort of thinking again.

Why all the fuss over Hitler when it's his living and growing legacy we should be concerned with?

Warren, I'm surprised. Don't you believe that there's 30 clones of his somewhere in South America Saluting and Heiling themselves?
