Little Red Riding Hood ... Hansel and Gretel ... the Three Little Puppies?
That's what one British school renamed the traditional Three Little Pigs story for a school play, so as not to offend Muslims in the community, London's Daily Mail reported.
Organizers of the children's musical theater performance changed the lyrics' character's names in a move some including Muslims are saying went too far.

As a Republican I find this to be deeply shocking.
They will have to ban the story all together due to the cruelty to animals contained within the pages.
Hansel and Gretel will be eating a sugar free, low-fat, 100% organic witches house and Red Riding Hood will not be able to visit Granny because she was euthanized when she no longer could contribute to society.

We can't offend the Peaceful people who practice the peace loving religion of Islam. I wonder if the "puppies" in the story bow to mecca 5 times a day during the play? I wonder if the big bad wolf participated in the fast of ramadahn? Were any Korans used or displayed in the play? Did hey get a consultant to make sure the play was Muhhamad approved?
Does Gretal and the witch wear the proper berkah?
Wait, the witch is practicing witchcraft, she must be converted or be-headed. I guess the woodcutter or Hansel will handle that.

Hey need I remind every body that it was the english crown that rewrote the bible to satisfy personal wishes,obviously the english people still can be manipulated ,and forced to eat what ever is proclaimed.

Islamic people are not the only religious group to think that the pig is an unclean animal to eat.
Of course, if you really believe the Bible, particularily the Old Testament (which is the foundation of all monodeistic religions in the last four thousand years of so), you would not eat any meat at all. #See Genesis 1-13...

I recall during the 60's someone reported seeing a version of the traditional children's story "Little Black Sambo," with the title changed to "Little Brave Sambo."
But the character in the Little Black Sambo story wasn't even African; the story took place in India. Now I wouldn't have been too surprising if I had heard that that happened in UK, but racism and people from India weren't an issue in US back then; the issue was with people of African origin.
As for the pigs, from my experience of living several years at the outer edge of the Islamic world back in the late 60's, puppies would be even more offensive. It is taboo to eat pork, but dogs in general, alive or dead, are totally detested by many of the people in that part of the world. About the worst insult possible is to call someone the son of a dog.

Yeah, I remember that. They changed the name to "The Lucky Tiger". And they painted over the murals showing the story of Little Black Sambo and the tiger.
They closed a few years later.

I quite agree. #Muslims have had a few hundred years to object to that story, even if there were a valid objection.
It is yet another example of a religion expecting the rest of the people to kowtow to their religion's rules. #(Well, ok, in this particular instance, it is more a case of someone worried about a religion asking them to kowtow to their rules.) #If you don't eat pork, then don't eat it. #If you don't like stories about pigs, the tolerate them because the whole world does not believe as you do. #(Even if you think you are right and the rest of the world is wrong...) #If you think you are offending some religion because they might be sensitive to something you do, even though you do not ascribe to that religion, don't worry about it. #It is their job to be tolerant in this case, just as it is yours to be tolerant when the situation is turned around.
Of course we don't go around intentionally offending other religions or lifestyles, but then they shouldn't be looking to be offended either. #In this case, the play producers tried to be too politically correct.
