Visit http://nofly.s3.com/ and type in your name.
This is the only known publicly available site for checking your name against potential terrorist identities and databases.
Nuts! So much for my vacation to Libya...
Apparently I am still under their radar, but they are getting close. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

A common name database, whoopie doo. I can create a database like this too. My name is so common I'm not surprised. Throw in Joe Schmedlap and nothing comes up. It would be nice if they used full names and backed it up with some other type of indentifier. I poo poo it.

Hello.
Look up HZ1TX.
Now, type that in without the Islamic titles.
Aziz first name
Bin last.
See what you get.
I tried it all other ways also, close to perfect match.
So, I ran my Saudi Passport on TSA, 100% match, by the number and the name, I tried it both ways.
This must be why I can only use middle east (including Pakistan and India) as well as China and Russian airlines.
Canada has no issues taking me to Cuba and back.

Typing your name into the search box is one way to be sure you will end up in the system. Somebody's system.
Why not add your SSN just to be sure they know which one you are?

I tried several random, ordinary names and about half were flagged. Somehow I doubt the accuracy of this tool.
Yeah. My last name throws up no flags, and I had been shown where there is a wanted terrorist in Somalia with the same last name.
But I have not tried to fly since I had been shown that. I will see what happens next week, I guess.

John Doe brings up about a half page of red flags.

apparently I'm redflagged by the program becase my name resembles a few middle eastern fellows names...suppose the security Employees just check the program or do they use a little common sense first?...oh well being the country that it is I'll just sue a large number of people for outrageous sums of money...write a book sell the movie rights and get rich and famous all round
I tell you what fellows, sometimes I wish I WAS on the no-fly list...
Then I would have an excuse not to travel so much. Here lately, I've been on too many airplanes going places I'd really rather not go to, and seeing folks that I don't even like.
So, bring it on! (so to speak) I need the rest!

they aren't given the opportunity. it's done in their reservations and ticketing systems. the agent gets a yay or nay--there's no room for a judgement call. homeland security doesn't want airline employees making these decisions for them.
