View Full Version : ROVE: All Roads Lead To Karl
Quote[/b] ]All roads lead to Rove
The White House political director was clearly at the center of the partisan plot to fire U.S. attorneys, despite the administration's clumsy attempts to pretend otherwise.
[...]
From the earliest Republican campaigns that Rove ran in Texas, beginning in 1986, the FBI was involved in investigating every one of his candidates' Democratic opponents. Rove happened to have a close and mysterious relationship with the chief of the FBI office in Austin.
[...]
In 1990, the Texas Democratic Party chairman issued a statement: "The recurring leaks of purported FBI investigations of Democratic candidates during election campaigns is highly questionable and repugnant."

The more you read about this case, the more the White House looks like the Mafia in action. Yet again, for the umpteenth time, they are caught with their hands in the cookie jar, but another flunky falls on his sword in order to protect the people who appear to have instigated the crime.
The situation is fairly serious - it's just another case where the White House tried to use the machinery of the Federal government to harass and persecute their political opponents - criminal conduct worthy of impeachments. And, once again, they got caught. The difference this time is that the Congress is held by the Democrats, who have the power to demand investigations. When corruption of this kind sees the light of day, it tends to go away or at least be much more skillfully handled in the future.
I have not been in favor of impeaching GWB, because the Congress has much better things to do. And, I don't see him being personally involved in this. But there is a price to be paid for this kind of conduct, and GWB's closest chums should be the ones walking the plank.
And the Bush Derangement Syndrome rages on....

Uh, huh. Just as you all claimed that Rove was involved in outing a CIA agent and it was Libby who was "rail-roaded" in that case FOR A LAPSE OF MEMORY. Funny thing though, NBC "Meet The Press" Anchor Tim Russert also couldn't remember certain things during Libby's trail and they didn't convict#him for it, but someone had to be "sacrificed" and it turned out to be Libby.
I would hate to see you all on a artillery crew during a war. You all keep missing your "target."

Pot calling the kettle black. The exact same thing can be said of the Clinton regime but because dems were in power, lots of stuff was just shoved under the rug i'm sure. And remember, Clinton is a convicted criminal and WAS impeached.
They are all the same.

Nice 'talking point.' No wonder the 'Right' all sounds like they are repeating the same mantra - they are!

Oh, and Clinton wasn't impeached by both houses of Congress during hypocrite Newt's little witch-hunt, but we might yet see that happen to a sitting president. It is criminal to see what has been going on for 6 years with the same lies told by the same liars to enable this criminal farce to go on.
What flavor Kool-Aid are they serving you today? Clinton hasn't been in office for over 6 years, but after listening to you it reminds me of the good old days.

Amazing. #An obvious conspiracy to leak a CIA agent's name in retaliation for her husband caling a certain presidential administration on their lie, and it's a lapse of memory. #But of course, Clinton deliberately lied. #No, Clinton couldn't have forgotten his fun with Monica... any more than Libby forgot going out of his way - on several occasions - to betray Plame, and thereby nail Wilson.
Take a look. #Armitage - a PNAC signatory. #Libby - a PNAC signatory. #Cheney - a PNAC signatory. #Rumsfeld - a PNAC signatory. # Wolfowitz - a PNAC signatory. #Check out all of the other PNAC signatories in the Bush administration. #Go ahead - it's easily located by any Google search.

Don't be fooled into thinking that Bush Administration Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage was some liberal pinko. #The PNAC is all about the use of military force in the middle east. #Yes, and now you can see where it got us.

Hello.
Although Clinton was put to an Impeachement hearing he was not Impeached.
The Republicans controlled both the house and senate for 14 years, well within the Clinton era.
The job Kenneth Star was to do was find out what involvement Clinton had with whitewater.
Bush was on the board of directors of Enron and is fully involved with Haliburton and yet there is no outcry about Bush.
And, it looks like Gonzales is going to be sacrificed.
Perhaps that is the Bush stratagy, to have a bunch of people who can easily be dumped to protect the key people.
As it stands now something along the lines of 70% of Republicans want Gonzales out to protect the reputation of the Republican party.
Few Republicans are even looking at the Bush admin' but putting the focus on the upcoming elections.
The hopes are all pinned on Karl Rove not doing any real damage if he does in fact speak to congress.
