Back when code was lowered to 5 WPM I took my General and Extra written in one sitting and passed both going from Tech Plus to Extra. #My friend just went from Tech to Extra in one sitting. #In both our cases (at different times of course) the VECs tried to discurage us from doing this. #Their excuse was "nobody goes from Tech to Extra in one step". #I have seen that at least three people have gone from no ham license to Extra in one sitting since the code was dropped. #Are there any statistics as to:
# Who was the first No Code General (up from Tech. #Not so much Tech Plus)
# Who was the first No Code Extra (up from Tech. #Not so much Tech Plus)
# Who was the first to get an Extra without ever holding any license class (without a code test).
Have any stats like this been posted?
