I wanted to wait and see if Martyn Allison would do what I knew he would. He has committed a fraud against me and sold a Item, That did not belong to him. I returned it for a refund, That as of this date, 05/March/07, I have never recieved. I think that is called FRAUD. TO KNOWINGLY SELL ANOTHERS PROPERTY WITHOUT GIVING PAYMENT FOR SAID ITEM, IS AGAINST THE LAW. He did it, He sold my tuner, That I never got paid for. Time for legal action. And a formal Fraud complaint to Ebay. (As If that will do any good). But I am going to do it anyway.

And to think, Someone is trying to ruin his GOOD name, "NO MARTYN, YOU HAVE DONE THAT YOURSELF".
Fraud is a crime, No matter what state you are in.
You have no HONOR, Your words are false, You are less than truthful. I let the evidence speak for itself.

I have seen many many negative posts about Martyn Allison, Radio Mart. Sorry to hear that once again he has scammed another innocent person out of their money. I myself a couple of years ago bought a Drake SW-4A from him on eBay, and luckily enough for me it was ok and mostly as advertised, a little dirty but functional. It was advertised and pictured as flawless! Obviously the pictures were from another radio not the one I got, but it is functional so I let it go. That was a couple years ago before the waterfall of negative posts since then. I for one would never again buy anything from one with so many negative posts. Granted I was very very lucky that one time back then, but now the info. is out there so anyone who decides to deal with him is only asking to be ripped off. Sorry it was you this time. Be careful people, there are many scammers around now and I think there are more on QTH.com, QRZ.com, Radioreference etc. than eBay now because when they get thrown off of eBay they then come to these boards to continue their scammings. In the case of Radio Mart, he has quite a feedback number and moves many items on eBay, so they are reluctant to do anything to him unless the complaint numbers get high enough. For ones with relatively low feedback numbers, they will throw them off for only a couple negatives, but when they have hundreds or thousands of feedbacks, they will require many more complaints to do anything. So make your complaints to the eBay police, the Postmaster, etc. etc. I am sure they are keeping score. Don't just do nothing or else he'll get away with it. I just had some emails back and forth with our local scammer , marty, just last week.
He was selling a Kenwood TL-922A amp and boasted in the description that it would work on 10 meters.
I emailed him and mentioned that selling a 10 meter amp on ebay was against the rules.
his reply was " Did I say it WORKED on 10 metrs? Where does iot say 10 meters?"
I emailed him back and told him to READ his own description which I copied. He then replied that I should crawl back under my rock and that the Amp was already sold ( even though the Auction was NOT over) and that I was BANNED for life from buying any of his items... gee, My heart is broken !
I reported the item to ebay, but the auction closed before they could shut it down.
What a CROOK that guy is. We should send him back to England as an Undesirable Alien !

You probably caught him when he was trying to beef his feedback back up.

There are guys who will do this to ensure they stay below Ebays radar. They will also use other accounts to bid on their own stuff, then give themselves positive feedback. They will usually do it on very cheap items so they don't have to pay ebay much, then do a few legit sales of larger items, then shaft people on bigger items.

You were probably lucky. I can't prove that this is what this guy is doing, but looking at what I've seen posted, it sure does kinda look like it.

Anyone who deals on E-bay is looking for problems
e-bay is about them getting their cut at any cost to
a buyer. They support these scammers and defend
them. A liar can make a story up and post it in the
feedback and ruin a good sellor or buyer.
There is so much crap being done and said, why would
anyone even think the site is legit?
I do have to state: I purchased a Yeasu FT-726R from
martyn and the deal was great. He phoned me and
everything he said about this radio was accurate. If
anything, it was a better radio then he represented.
There was no delays at all.
He stated to me, he worked at a large Ham Radio Outlet in his area and frequently got equipment to sell on
e-bay. I can't say it is true, but I did get a good deal
from this guy.
I'm a REDNECK from Tennessee, maybe thats why he was
honest with me. I dont have a clue.
Its bad when e-bay will allow this stuff to go on.
When the chips are down, e-bay will bite you in the
a__. They have no empathy or respect for anything but
MONEY. Its like dealing with slum lords, how many
ever get busted? WHY? they always pay their taxes on time and this gets the good people on his side.
