How much longer will New Posts get Fixed?

I have Very Severe Carpals Tunnel And I

CANNOT

Click into every forum.

If I do, then I will pay for it and will have to do nothing and rest my hand for days. And someone said I have to send you money before it will work. Is that true? If it is then that shoots me being on here anymore. My hands can't handle it. I'm on dissability and get only $600 or so a month and I don't have extra money to give for anything.

thanks

I read some other posts in here and I guess that some things are still being done with a power supply and I guess eventually it will get fixed and I will have new posts.
Ok, Good. Sorry for my impatients, but like I said, someone said I have to send money, and that prodded me to write my post above. So I guess the money part to get it to work isn't true.

Thanks Fred and staff for all your efforts !!

Thanks everyone, for your kind comments. To answer a few of the questions thus far:

1. Yes, the new machine has dual power supplies :-)

2. The Search feature has been temporarily disabled for most accounts. The reason is that the new server is so much faster that it's swamping the back end database machine with requests. The article search requests in particular are compute intensive and tend to load up the database server quite a bit.

To fix the search problem, I've today ordered a replacement server, an x4200 Sun and will be retiring the E280R which has been running non-stop (without reboot) for the past 506 days. The new x4200 is several times faster and features two dual-core Opteron processors (model 275). In addition, I'm contemplating removing articles thar are more than two years old. Right now we have articles still in the database that are 5 years old. This would speed up things as well.

That's all for now. I'm still working frantically on all this to make sure things are done right.

Thanks Bill

My last post said I read in other threads and saw that. I guess the reason I'm posting a lot on this is because the less I use my fingers clicking on every forum, then I don't suffer ramifications because of my carpals tunnel.

I have very severe carpals tunnel and I

CANNOT

click into every forum without suffering for days.

quite often I'm typing with one hand, I'm on dis-
sability and DON'T have spare money to give. So I can't be a subscriber.

Can the "Power that Be" make an exception for me?? ?

Please?

Thanks

I take back what I said about you not catering to people with dissabilities. I'm sorry.
