Sometimes when I turn it on the display lights up everything. #When it does this I cannot do anything except turn it off again. #

I have taken it apart and there is nothing loose that I can see.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

73's to all,
Chris

Sorry I do not have a specific answer or solution. You might look at all the 731 info here. You might find something useful. In the future you might want to post this type of help question on the question and answer forum. You'll likely get a lot more knowledgeable folks seeing it and offering help.

I have two 241's and two 261's
at least 2 have had the display problem
its caused by the tiny connector between the boards. about 8 contacts. has to do with pressure.
some times just plug/unplug wil scrape the contacts clean.. do several times.
you might be able to put a small chunk of foam rubber behind one of the boards to keep pressure on the connector which i think is right in the middle of the board.
crappy design. should have a screw next to the connector to hold tight or use different kind of connector..
but engineers are the same every where
