A. It is the next logical step in house wiring from 10-2, and 10-3.
B. It means: QSL
(Yeah, QSL there, old man, you got a copy, QSL?)
C. It means someone who is still a CBer at heart and only wishes he could do ham radio.

Cops did/still do 10 codes too. CBers aren't the only dim bulbs

It was Broderick Crawford's favorite line in "Highway Patrol."
actually most police/ambulance, and other public agencies are going from 10 codes, which in reality, were hijacked by CBrs

In Virginia, they've done away with "10 codes." Plain language now, though I hear some of the dispatchers and emergency people slip a 10 code in every so often. Old habits are hard to break.

10-4 ...an affirmative or a request for confirmation.
An exhaustive list of variations:
In the affirmative:
10-fer
fo-10
fowty-too
fo-rogee
10-rogee
rogee-dogee
hey-fo
hey-rogee
yeah-rogee
yeah-fo
roo-joooooe
foty-fo
As a question:
10-fer?
fo-10?
fowty-too?
fo-rogee?
10-rogee?
rogee-dogee?
hey-fo?
hey-rogee?
yeah-rogee?
yeah-fo?
roo-joooooe?
foty-fo?
Am I missing any? I tried to cover'em all, but maybe someone more knowledgeable can help us out.
Next lesson in CBonics, Leenyers.
OOOPS!!
edit: I almost forgot the all important "BIG 10-4" and all its variants. Add Big to any variety of 10-4, and you not only affirm the copy of the message, you confirm it BIG. After all, offering only a measly 10-4 leaves a measure of doubt in the other CBer's mind, so set him at ease with a BIG one.
