Better stay inside. Those big chunks of sky could be dangerous.

I'm more worried about all those KON investors who bought the "economy is booming" argument. If this keeps up they should be jumping out of windows in a couple of days...

Yep stay inside... there's a bad moon on the rise.

The market goes up and it goes down. Always has, always will. One can make money either way.

Dubya is doing a darned fine job with the economy. Darned fine.

When Clinton had the stock market up and then Dubya burst the bubble, critics said that this was a natural correction for over inflated stock prices. They said they knew it was coming. However when the stock market reached new heights this time, the liberal media gave credit to Dubya for selling off the Ft. Knox gold and inflating stock values.

Dubya is simply brilliant.

From what I heard on TV, it was something that wasn't as big a deal as the press is making of it. A correction is defined as 10 percent of the value of the index. The one in China this morning that triggered all of this was 9 percent. The Dow dropped just right around 3 percent which is just a ripple. Other factors included in this was that the software that tracked the progress of the index had a glitch, and the appearance of the index dropping 180 points in 5 minutes was actually the software catching up.
Other factors were also present; the attempt on Cheney this morning (how this stuff affects markets is beyond me but it does) and also the conficting forecasts on the economy from Greenspan and Bernanke.
Markets go up, and they go down. This one is nowhere near as bad as the one in 1987.

This is a great opportunity to buy, why complain? What goes down, must go back up, always have.

A lotta people made a lotta money by doing something with "puts" (something where you profit from droppping stock prices) on airline and insurance company stocks the days before 9/11.

Oh, yeah? Tell that to Ford. Tell it to Lucent. And to United Airlines. And... well, I think you get the picture.

What goes down, like the Andrea Dorea or the Titanic, may well stay there.

I am referring to the stock market as a whole, not individual companies. Invest wisely.
