Brings to mind the Savings & Loan crisis of the 1980's. The Reagan administration, supported by the republican congress, deregulated the industry. Then they slashed the budget for inspectors. After all, we know that big business wants nothing more than to toe the line and operate within their sensable legal regulations, no matter the up-front costs. They don't need no stinkin' inspectors. Of course, we all know how that worked out.

But that crisis only cost billions of dollars of public money to prop up the dirty businessmen who granted all the bad loans. Thank goodness that the lack of FDA inspections will only cost the loss of American's lives.

Wake up! This administration doesn't care about the American people.
