if anyone has a portable printer like Canon BJ five or a bubble jet 300 series by HP 310, 320, 330, 340.
As well as older laptop with CD-ROM drive and at least one USB port that they would be willing to donate
I am va7gpd/n7gpd in 1997 I suffered my first stroke and started losing the sight in my right eye I am now totally blind in that eye this cut my truck driving career short two years later I had a second stroke and that has put me in a wheelchair on disability I am trying to upgrade my computer skills beyond a plus with a Linux plus network plus and security plus as well as a ethical hacker certification [that's the guy that hacks into computer systems identify security problems, this is done with the consent of the network owner] to do this I need a second laptop in order to both learn to use Linix \Windows networks as well as using both with a old 486 DX 40 tower I have my junk box I will set up Apache on it to use as a server. The goal of this is to return to work as an IT technician working in a Linux environment with networks and network security. As there is a demand right now and for the foreseeable future for techs trained in Linux\networks\and IT security. As for the printer I use Dragon naturally speaking 9 with my current notebook but my left hand does not have movement so I use a portable printer with my notebook to do typing a resume and too
do job applications unfortunately my Canon BJ five committed suicide the other day leaving me without a portable printer so any help would be appreciated. Once I am done learning Linux I would be putting a Linux text-to-speech screen reader for the blind on it and pass it on to another blind ham why Linux because it's very stable unlike Windows thanks Jim va7gpd\n7gpd phone number7785931811n7gpd@telus.net
