I received my shipment from Joe James KB8VXH in good shape on 3/21/07. Joe is an emergency worker and did not ship through no fault of his own. I am going to request that the qrz editor delete this post. Ralph K5JN

If you don't get a response from him soon or receive the item you sent money for, you should gather as much information about him as you have and make contact with the police department in the city that he lives in. Anything over $500 dollars is considered Grand Larceny and you should make a police report about it. Get their investigations division to follow up. Agree to sign felony charges against that person for defrauding you.

you need to call the local police in his hometown asap explain what happened and ask them to do a health and welfare check on him this gives them the right to contact him then maby they will ask him about radio/money isee his call is not listed here on qrz but is in the fcc data base he is a tech you did not post his address so i could not verify that #MAKE THAT PHONE CALL

Quote[/b] (K5JN @ Feb. 22 2007,18:21)]Does anyone know Joe James KB8VXH in Deshler, Ohio? #I sent a payment to him for a 746PRO he had for sale on QRZ for which he confirmed receiving the money order on 2/9/07 in a phone call to him. No emails or phone calls to him have been answered since then as to why he has not shipped. I sent him shipping labels from my fedex account which have not been used. #I would appreciate it if someone that knows the situation with him would email me direct or post it here if you prefer. #I can also be reached at 713-545-4990 anytime. #73's Ralph k5jn at sbcglobal.net
He probably became a silent key just so he could rip you off. Happens all the time.

There is in the FCC's Amateur Radio ULS lookup (http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchAmateur.jsp).
K5JN - in an edit of his original post - said he received the 746PRO three months ago anyway.

Joe owes me a power supply. He will not answer the phone or e-mails or US mail. Anyone in Deshler Ohio that can visit KB8VXH, (Joseph James) to find out what is happening and let me know. I want the supply or my money. I can furnish the address. The power supply was advertised for sale on this site.
