I've got a TL-922 that's been a great work-horse amp for me, but I'm thinking about modifying the amp. Anybody ever worked one of these to 6m?

Like many other, similar amps, it most likely would end up a mono-band amp for 6 Meters only; it will require substantial work, and seems an expensive amp to attempt such a radical modification.
Steve (WB2WIK) probably will have the best advice.
Years ago another ham friend did this mod. He had to give up 10 meter operation in order to do it. If I recall he changed the 10 meter input circuit, and chopped a few turns off the PA tank coil for 10 meters, using a grid dip meter to get close. Must of worked well as he used the thing for years. I have also heard of guys moding the old kenwood ts520/820 rigs for 6 meters as well.
