i just purchased a kenwood ts 130v. in very good shape. however i would like to take out one of the WARC bands and put 160meters in. ive contacted several crystal makers that say they can make a crystal but i need to know if it can be done for sure. plus i need to know where and how to accomplish it. iam not really technical but can follow directions. thanks andrew stoots

No. It wasn't designed for 160m. It would take a lot more than a crystal to do it.
What's your call anyway? Maybe when you get on 160m I'll listen for you.

thanks for the info on the Kenwood Ts 130v. iam not a ham or a cber. just a very silent listener. i love to listen through the hf bands. 80meters and 160 mostly. i have a tempo one ,tempo 2020,the kenwood ts 130v no mics or audio used.i have a icom ic r8500 and many other scanners and wide band recievers. i have a computer set aside just for radio use. thanks for the info. aws73@yahoo.com
