Drain a can of your favorite tuna (I like the imports from Thailand best) add agreeable amounts of:

# #fresh chopped onion
# #fresh squeezed key lime juice (lemon will also do)
# #Manzanilla salad olives
# #mayonnaise
# #lots of freshly cracked black pepper

and for god's sake don't homogonize it, stir it together just enough to get it blended well.

I like it best with whole wheat bread and cold milk.

Can tuna in WATER (not that in-oil dreck);

1 1/2 cups chopped celery;

2 tbs minced onion;

1 1/2 tbs mayonnaise (use Hellmann's, not that Miracle Whip goo);

1 tsp lemon juice;

1/4 tsp cayenne (or somewhat more if you've got the hair for it).

Salt to season.

Stock standard luncheon fare in the old days when Catholic calendars had a fish on Fridays; also great Lenten light.

As above plus I use liquid smoke ,it gets rid of the fishy oil taste,even when its in water it tastes better,I also now buy the new package that is in a foil pack and no oil or water is in it.just tuna and to me it tastes better also.The flavor isnt leached out by the water or oil.Course I like BarBQ flavor anyway and when BarBQ'd the fat is in the fire and not in the food your grilling.

One can tuna in water that has been drained

A good sized gob of Whipped salad dressing {real mayonnaise makes me ill for some reason}

At least one tablespoon of Sweet pickle relish and some of the pickle juice.

Half a tea spoon sugar if the wife and kid are going to be eating this too.

Two table spoons of salad mustard {or honey mustard if the wife and kid aren’t home}

Just about enough horse radish that you can actually see it on the tip of the spoon. {more than that and it kills me, this is also only added when wife and kid won’t be eating any of it}

Whole wheat or multi grain bread, toasted and buttered is best for me. I used to really like Hillbilly bread but since nutragrain bought them out you can’t find a really good oat bran bread anymore.

Use cat food. The mercury level standards are stiffer for what you feed Fluffy than the kids. Sanitairy standards too!

Sounds great!

I have found the bagged tuna to be far better than the canned.

A bag of tuna and some genuine Kraft Macaroni and Cheese mixed together is a great quick meal.

Put the lot in a tortilla and life is good!

Me too but it's about 2 to 3 times the price. I get the 6 oz cans on sale for 50c a pop or less.

BTW: I won't knowingly put anything from Kraft into my body. They exposed rats to an assortment of everything Kraft produces plus water and they all died in 3 days.

I can see you've never had good, home made, smoked cat jerky.

Probably never been in a Chinese restaurant when the chef came into the dining room chasing after a cat with a meat cleaver either. Here kitty kitty.

1 can of Tuna
1 onion
mayonnaise
salt and pepper
six-pack beer

Open and drink a beer while you look for the can opener.
Find the can opener, drink another beer, and get bowl out.
Find a knife to chop onion and drink another beer.
Drink another beer and try to decide if you want the tuna salad on bread or toast.
Look for bread and drink another beer.
Decide you never liked tuna salad anyway, put everything away and drink last beer.
Look in refrigerator for another six-pack.

Not being a rat, I have never worried much about this. I do not, however, find as much quality at the prices Kraft charges as I find in many other brands.

Good stuff, but I need to be in the proximity of a campfire for it.
