Never mind; we are sending you something nice to replace them;

Before I retired I worked for several years on a contract; the contract provided me with a new one of these (6-speed manual) each year and a Shell card to run it.
It was fun!!!! These things go like s..t off a shiny shovel!!

I am quite happy with my 6800# Ford F-250 Lariat diesel crew cab, with 18 mpg combined city/highway when I'm not towing the fifth-wheel RV. When I'm towing the RV, my mileage does go down to 11 mpg, towing 11,000# of trailer at 65 mph.
With the air conditioning on, the cruise control set, and Sirius radio set on Channel 71, I are one happy camper.

Just don't do that towing the trailer in California.
We have a name for people towing trailers here that ignore the signs that say "Vehicles towing trailers/Trucks-55 MPH" placed after the Speed Limit 65 or 70 signs on our freeways: #Targets.
Though 65 isn't bad. #I've had those combo rigs pass me as I was cruising along with my cruise set to 75. #And they wonder why the trailer is swaying behind them....
From what I've heard and seen of Ford's financial woes, my question would be "Has ANYBODY driven a Ford lately?

Clearly, the gubmint is trying to help Ford pay some of the outrageous costs accumulated by pandering to union thugs all these years.

Actually, yes.
I own a 2006 Ford Five Hundred SE and it's a wonderful car. It's an actual upgrade from the 2002 Mercury Sable company car I had which had 90,000 miles on it when I turned it in. That vehicle needed nothing except oil changes. The Ford products these days are great machines.
I guess those auto workers that MIV chooses to slander must be doing something right.

Actually though, I'm kinda glad to see the actual vehicles being delivered, with all of the stuff I'm hearing nowadays about money being given to other countries for something, and it winds up some dictator or leader earmarks it for weapons or something instead.
Might be a better idea to just deliver the product they claim they are going to spend it on instead of just handing them the cash and trusting it to go to use for that.
But, if you suddenly see these on some auto auction site....then I'm wrong :P

I was being facitious in my post. I drive a 2001 Sable with 103,000 miles on it and it has been a great car. Other than normal upkeep, I really haven't spent a dime on it. Damn good car!

I have a Ford but it is a 1960 F100 stepside. The thing just keeps on running.

Drive 55 on I-10 in 4 or 5 land and you will be run off the road. Nice thing about a fiver, a lot more stable than the average travel trailer.
I lived in Cali for two years, met my wife there. It was fun, and the freeways were a blast to drive in a GTI.
But now I'm older, wiser, and I couldn't live there anymore. Too expensive. The farthest west I go now is central Texas.

Already? They just came out?
My employer has issued me a 2006 V6 Ford Escape. When I got it, there was 16K on it.
The driver's side windows squeals horribly when you put it up. Every time.
It gets 20MPG MAX on the highway. I fill the tank sometimes twice a day.
The rear wiper blade is already shredded and needed to be replaced.
The road noise is horrible. Sounds like a rear wheel bearing or the differential is about ready to give up the ghost.
The seatbelt clip thingy keeps falling all the way down to the floor so you have to dig for it when you put your seatbelt on.
I generally like Ford vehicles. I own one. My last job gave me an F-250 to drive, and I loved it.
But this Escape is a POS!
