Think we don't have an immigration problem? Think again: This is one of our worst injustices (http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_21262924.shtml)
If anyone deserves a presidential pardon, this guy does.

He no more deserves or does not deserve a "presidential pardon" than any other inmate who is harrassed in prison.
The issue here is WHY ?? Why should he be kept in the same prison along with the very peoples that he busted. It would make about as much sense as putting a drug cop in jail together with the people he busted. Sure enough personal feelings and the desire for 'sweet revenge" is going to arise.
The prison should have the responsibility to keep him in an area where he will not be near anyone who might have a personal vendetta against him. If they cannot accomplish such a simple common sense task then yes, they should simply let him go.

NOBODY deserves to be assaulted while in prison.
What's your point, station?

Point is he should have never been imprisoned to begin with.

Hello.
There is a federal law that says that an ex-police officer can not be held in the same facility as one who he may have testified against.
The USDoJ goes nuts if a state does it, but it does not seem to apply to the feds themselves.
Albert Bustamante was busted and led a charmed life while in lockup.

So, what is the example of all of this?

And now there is evidence that the government railroaded the two Border Patrolmen for political purposes.

And the Feds wonder why they're having trouble getting people to enforce the law or enlist in the military.

Hello.
My question is, if there is in fact a report, why was it not brought up in court, or the trial put on delay?

Yeah, ok...

Corsi, the author of the article, was reporting what the DHS Inspector General said to the Homeland Security subcommittee.
I suppose you would believe it if it had been said to a left-wing Kalifornia congressman?
And you liberals accuse us real people of being biased...

That's "California", station.
Being "real" means being able to spell. Which you apparently can't.

I am blue in the face from stating these facts. But here I go again, anyway.
Two above average men held up their right hands and swore to God to enforce and obey the law. Then they went out and broke the law.
Prison is too good for them.

Why do you say he should have never been imprisoned ? Did you attend the trial ? Are you aware of the case ? Did you read the DOJ report concerning this case ?

No, I spelled it correctly...as in "People's Republik of."
More proof, as if any more is really needed, that most liberals have NO sense of humor.

While I agree, yes California is annoyingly liberal at times, after the 5000000th time some Redneck from Louisiana says "Kalifornia" nah, it's not real funny.
Wait, Redneck from Louisiana?
Now there's an oxymoron.
As to the topic, yeah they were Railroaded.. Bush and his wonderful Border policy. Anything to avoid insulting mexico.

An oxymoron is a contradiction in terms, like "military intelligence" or "honest politician."
Now, "liberal from California" is a redundancy, not an oxymoron. #In some cases, anyway.
So, yes, "redneck from Louisiana" is an oxymoron. #South Louisiana, at any rate. #In North Louisiana it would be a redundancy.
In the early 1980s I used to travel back and forth quite a bit between New Orleans and Vandenberg AFB. #I lived a few months in San Diego in 1990 while working for Convair. #One thing I learned about California from those experiences was that the state is actually fairly conservative when you get away from the large population centers. #Of course, I haven't been out there in 17 years so things might be somewhat different now.

Yep. #The Democrats can't risk insulting the Mexicans because they might lose votes. #The Republicans can't risk insulting the Mexicans because they might lose the votes they imagine they could (but probably wouldn't) get. #So they throw two Border Patrolmen under the bus.
George W. and Arnold: neither turned out to be what anyone thought they were voting for.

Hello.
Yes, we can not offend the Mexicans.
It has nothing to do with national security.
It is all about money.
Bush and his new and improved guest worker program says it all.
And, why is it that although only one border patrol agent shot the drug smuggler in the arse, both are off to the pen?
