Good band. I have four of their albums. I believe they've done five.
I can't get the audio on this machine - I'm at work, they've messed around with equipment and audio routing, and I don't think the output on this machine goes anywhere now. It used to go right into the master control console. <sigh> I'll have to try the link later in one of the studios.
The doctor's voice sounds familiar...is he "the Brain" from the "Pinky and the Brain" cartoons?

In my case it all started when I was three years old. #I took my rattle apart to see what made it rattle. #It was only beans.

From then on I was cursed with..THE KNACK. #I became a ham...a technician...an engineer...and in my retirement...I am still suffering from THE KNACK.
The KNACK is the propensity to have the urge to find out how THINGS work...but I could never find out how people work. #I was always a poor salesman...so I never got wealthy with my knack.
Adams, who writes Dilbert did it again. #He put down hams, technicians and engineers. #This is the kind of bad publicity that blames engineers for weapons of mass destruction , harmful radiation and global warming. #Its not the fault of knacky engineers guys...It all the fault of liberal artist politicians.

Maurice LaMarche? #Possibly. #I'll have to give it a listen [and a look http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif]. #He's pretty versatile, but also easy to spot if you're familiar with his range of work.
Edit: I think that's probably who it is. He already had two regular characters on the show - the garbage man and Bob the Dinosaur.
Tried to view the clip here at home, but YouTube + dialup = futility. <sigh> From what little I could hear before my patience ran out, though, I'm guessing it probably was Maurice LaMarche.

There is another QRZ thread that starts with the same Dilbert video clip. It is titled about engineers who supposedly fix things. I think that the two clips should be connected...There I go again...trying to fix things. That is really up to the moderators.
Anyway by posting here this thread will be brought to the first page of threads...I think.
I now have the knack to get it there.
