Ok, here it is. What you are going to want to do is order one of these babies (http://www.polejunkies.com/gallery.php) and connect it up to your antenna tuner.

Please pay attention to the following.

1) You must order the pole, not the polees.

2) You must put it in a room of its own so your whole family can enjoy it.

3) Do NOT tune up while your XYL is practicing her routine.

4) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should some of you (you know who you are) post videos of your XYL's routine on ANY internet site. This country needs young men with good eyesight to fight george's war.

Please note for those of you with wandering minds pole dancing is a valid form of exercise and this has nothing to do with any unsavory thoughts currently crossing your mind.

For those of you struggling with making the XYL happy with your antennas, you can go ahead and thank me now!

YMMV

This antenna is a 1/4 wave for ten metres and will provide 'stealth' operation on other bands with a suitable a.t.u.

OOOOOOOH!

Got to get one of those for the living room! Three more years and it's just the XYL and me. I love private dances!

Well, if anyone had a wife that was worth looking at using that thing, would they be playing with radios and computers?

Shhhh! You're not supposed to say that out loud, the XYL may be watching.

So, using that thing would make her pole-ish?

Since the forum is fixated on Nancy, I just would like to add that the letters in "Pelosi" can be arranged to read "I poles".

Hello.

I can just see it now.
OM and XYL are getting ready to call it quits.
She says she wants the house and half of everything.
She decides to exercise.
OM to police, ' I was just trying to call Moscow, so I cranked 'er up, not thinking my wife would want to swing from my antenna'.

That pole may be good for pole dancing but unless you add radials it has no ground plane. Actualy I like seeing young ladies pole dance better than I like loading antennas. You can tell folks it is an antenna but secretly have it used for pole dancing practice (as illustrated).

Some XYLs might make a pretty good ground plane, depending on surface area.

I know of a fellow who has a steel spiral stair case in his house and always wondered if it would load as a vertical.

He isn’t a ham. His girlfriend works part time at Daisy Dukes {exotic dance place, guess you can’t call them strip clubs anymore} in the quad cities so they might have a pole somewhere in the house.

I don’t know them that well. I was invited buy a friend of a friend sort of thing for an after hours party deal, only went there once. And no she didn’t do her routine while we were there.

Yes, I can confirm that she DID NOT do her routine and kept her clothes on the etire time. Also, all other people at the party kept their clothes on also. Oh, and no laws were broken.
