The first time I read this, I thought you said KC0UWS could have your gear. My first thought was that he already had it. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Ouch! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
That is a good thing you could swim.
There were some kids about 20 miles south of my QTH who were playing on the ice of a lake and fell, neither could swim but one survived, the other died http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
How deep was the water you fell in? What's a beaver run? Living where we don't have beavers I have never heard of that.

Unfortunate when it comes to those kids,
A beaver run, Is were a beaver goes underneath the ice, into his house ( a lodge) basically A pile of sticks.
They use the same route the same time, every time.
and it melts away the ice in some places.
I fell through the ice because it was thinned by the beaver.
The water was about 13 feet deep. I didnt fall in all the way ( I screamed like a girl and scrambled onto the ice!)
Thank god I wasnt the only one on the lake!!
The shipping on all my gear would be alot!

anyway,
Anyone want to get together on ten meters some time?
We could try...
Ten is usually a day time band with some grayline here and there. Maybe try around ten around 1800 UTC
Any day is good for me, what do you think
Lets try 28.4 USB at 1800 UTC and if that doesn't work, try again at 1930 UTC.
What do you say

I added your MSN.
Ten was quiet, CB was open which usually can be used as an indicator about ten. I will try to be on at 1800 UTC again today. By the way, 15 and 17 meters opened at 1900 UTC.

On my lake (small private lake), there was a beaver living there, but I think someone shot it because it kept taking out their trees. Just muskrat dwellings (for lack of a better term). Fun to jump a snowmobile off of. I did see a spring (I could tell because of open water) where I suspected one to be while out on the four wheeler on the lake, and the stupid dog ran over to it. I thought he was going to fall through, but he didn't. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Closest thing to falling through for me was stepping in a hole in the ice (for fishing). I wish it snowed in MN. At least I have studs on my snowmobile and chains on my four wheeler tirese. I'm not even going to take the dirtbike on the lake; I wiped out just going down the driveway in the snow. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
